For current topics-
At this time, this site is a dumping ground for screencasts, links, etc. that have been put together to answer questions teachers have recently asked, and I felt may also be of interest to others. As more things are added, it will take on more form and/or the information may get incorporated into the BHBL Tech site.
Because, as programs change, this type of 'help' information tends to become outdated fairly quickly, the screencasts are usually quick, unscripted 1-takes, and I don't do any editing to them.- (ie- they are unpolished) but hopefully they suffice to answer the question.
I am still trying to figure out why some of my videos get cut off at the beginning. (It kind of seems to be a voice activation issue, but as far as I can tell, QuickTime is not a voice activated program. As a workaround, and to continue making these without editing, I have begun starting the recording by counting backwards from 5 before I start discussing the topic. You may hear the tail end of that when the video begins. If you are knowledgeable with QuickTime and have a solution- that doesn't involve editing- please let me know!
- choose a topic from the menu at the left
- videos are best viewed in full screen
- if you have ideas for a video/tutorial, please let me know
