Chromebook Sling
With the anticipation of getting a class set of Chromebooks, I thought it would be nice if the students could keep them at their desks for extended periods of time rather than returning them to the carts after each use. Returning and getting them out not only wastes time, but it also prevents the Chromebooks from being the 'always ready' tool they are meant to be.
The computers would need to be off the desktop when not needed, but stuffing them into desks didn't seem like the best option, so I created The Stork- Chrombook Sling. It is basically a cushioned holder in front of the student's desktop. I combined this project with something I was already doing- pencil holders, name placards, and water bottle holders.
The cost for materials is just under $4 each (about $5 with the pencil holders).
